my skid plate is behind repair status, so I need one that will fit on my 91 YJ, does not have to be new as long as it can be beef up and fitted. Mickey

the crossmember in front of the tank is still available from the dealer... I paid about $112 plus tax for it, took close to 2 weeks to get it in. here is what it looks like-

I do not think that is what I need (the one on the picture above). I believe it is the skid plate itself which, protect the transfer case and part of the tranny, it sound likes that skid plate act also as a cross member.
My problem is the skid plate is all bent up and APJ said, it is too much damaged to be straighten and beef up. It is so bad that my rear drive line is all out of wack.
Really, I do not see why my skid plate would have any type of damages, I only drive my Jeep on Sunday.
