Princess Auto carry a "Maxon" brand which run in the $50 dollar range. These are referbished CB's. I personally wouldnt run one of these as I have in the past. Not the most reliable but it depends on how fussy you are!
I would spend the extra $30-$40 and buy one from Big6!

Trever X2, it is what i run, and i am not overly happy with it... i had it on the test bench here at work and it is only outputting 2.2W instead of the 4W advertised.... other than that it has been reliable and works well in trail situations, but if i needed any real distance from it i would get something different.

Ok, I picked up a CB, now what about the attena's. I noticed in a few pics you see them wagging behind the jeep. What is the normal height and what do you attach them too. Thanks.

I run 4 foot right now....going to the 8 foot soon.....just want to "wag" more! Various places to mount....with a bracket to the taillight.....bumper....mine is attached to the spare tire carrier.....

Like many others, I run a 4-ft antenna mounted on the spare tire carrier. I suspect the people with the 8-ft whips get better range, but I haven't had any problems with my 4-ft.
