I would like to nominate Roy Hobin (Roy and Charlene) for the trailmaster position. Roy is great to have on the trail and loves scouting out new locations and is always there for trail clearing and events when work schedules allow. Now that his schedule has changed and he is off on weekends I hope he accepts as I think he would be great at the job. Oh yeah, it is only a bonus that Charlene makes such good cookies and packs enough lunch for everyone on the trail... ;D ;D.

I would like to Nominate John Mason ( Shadow) as President. We all know what this man & his wife did for us at Jam last year. So you can all imagine what he can do as a President. I'd say he's our man, Let's put him where he belongs. Roy

If John is President, he technically can't be on the Jamboree Committee. I'd like to see him volunteer there instead so we can make sure that he and his valley counterparts can put on the same quality event as this year.

I would like to Nominate John Mason ( Shadow) as President. We all know what this man & his wife did for us at Jam last year. So you can all imagine what he can do as a President. I'd say he's our man, Let's put him where he belongs. Roy It's an honor just to be nominated...lololol. I accept the nomination Roy (tit for tat). I certainly wasn't the only one that contributed to Jam last year. Terry, Bruce, Gerri, Kim, Tony, Lance, Trevor and all those who helped in one way or another to pull it off should be commended for their efforts. I guess my point is that one person doesn't make the Club, Chapter or event successful. The old saying that many hands make light work needs to happen in order for us to be successful and to continue to have fun (that's what it is all about isn't it). When it stops being fun then that is when I will stop participating, and I am sure that is the feeling of most. It always seems that it is the same people who are organizing or participating in the events we try to have whether it be picnics, highway clean-ups, or trail clearing. I certainly know that everyone is busy and I am no exception, but I would really like to see more involvement in the planning and participation of our activities. I know everything we do is not for every member, but if more people could chip in whenever they can we might be able to expand the types of activities that we do if the same people are not always being tasked with everything. A perfect example is Greenrider's idea to have the rally in another post. If a couple people would volunteer to help him with ideas etc then it would go much easier. Mini-rant over....lol... ;D. Anyway, for those of you that don't know me I never speak my mind... ;D. I have been kicking around since late 04 when I got my first Jeep (an 88 YJ). Didn't take me long to get hooked and in late 05 I got the Rubi. It started as something my son and I could do together, but after a couple years of him getting up early on Sunday mornings to go for a run I pretty much lost my co-pilot after he turned 16 and got his own wheels, so now it is my plan to get my wife into it and it seems to be working....only took 4 1/2 years... ;D. I am the Hfx chapter steering committee member, so I guess if I am successful with this then I would have to step down from that position. Edit: Dave, I didn't see your post, but I actually shouldn't have been involved last year either since I am on the steering committee....lol.
