Other than tools, etc. there are lots of things you can take on the trail to make your day a bit more comfortable. Everyone's ideas are different but you will figure out what works best for you. As far as the "personal" effect you take on a trail with you, I recomend packing a backpack or some other small & easily portable bag and keep it expressly for wheeling. Makes getting out the door easier!
Snacks... lots of snacks! Sunscreen Fly dope Ibuprofin/Tylenol,etc. Eye drops/saline (especially if you wear contacts) Clean dry socks Spare set of shoes/boots Various clothing for changing Maritime weather Trail marking tape, especially when clearing new trails Zip ties - cause ya never know! A spill kit if you have one Heavy work gloves (good when handling winch lines/handling heavy or sharp rocks)
There are so many more things I could list but you probably don't want the chronic-list-maker typing out all the things I bring!

fuel line and assorted hose clamps....and we needed some yesterday and a tarp to lay on in the mud I have those in my parts toolbox (not to be confused with the tools toolbox or the sockets toolbox) as well as a most fluids necessary. A cell phone. Only good if you have cell service, may be good for that city wheeling. ;D

Wow, this is a very interesting thread. Im trying to put together a little case for the JK....We will call it the Justin Case. Now that I have read all your posts, I think I might have to tow a trailer to carry everything. lol. No seriously, I am thinking that this little kit is something that you put together over time.
I have been out a few times and each time I go out something comes up and I think....'hey, i should put that in the jeep next time we go"
So far I have my flashlight, some TP, electrical tape, bungee cords, LED HeadLamp, gloves, buck saw, and hatchet. Looks like I have a few more things to add, thanks for the tips everyone.

I made up a tool bag and a plastic box for carrying fluids/spares plus tow strap. Way too much stuff. When the tools alone weigh more than a small child there is something wrong. lol. Then I realized I'm not diggin into that axle out in the woods...started carrying less.
some people have allergies to insect stings... epipen can save a life.

Roy Hey Roy, I have used my trailer hitch "without the ball" and put a shackle through the hole where the ball goes and use that as a tow point, when im not using it I just keep it in the back of the jeep. Is this ok? Is it safe?? or do I need a true "tow hook" I did it this way because the JK bumers are plastic and I couldn't mount a hook on them.
