Finally got my package from Marlin Crawler!! Everything looks top notch and i'm soo glad i went this route then with an other companys adapter. Oh and i paid nothing at my door for taxes or duty shipping it via USPS from California ;D fews pics of the Marlin MC07-10 Dual Tcase adapter which clocks the rear case 10* With this setup i'm going to make a t-case center mount for the rear case like this from Front range offroad. frontrangeoffroadfab.com/nfoscomm/catalog/images/My-camera-026_main.jpg?osCsid=e83979dba0adc0b47191697eb291b339I'm going to Weld this to a piece of 2x3 1/4" wall square with bushings at either end then tuck the mount up as close to the body as i can. Might even cut the trans tunnel and have a complete flatbottom with UHMW skid. As for now i'm going to get the crawl box assemblied with the help of Mike (Rallyroach) in the next couple weeks, and try and make a template to plasma for center section of my mount. Hopefully with an early spring completion date......Working outside in the winter sucks!!!

Sa-weeet! Marlin stuff always looks so much nicer than the other guys. You probably know this, but there's a template for that plate in the ToyFAQ: members.shaw.ca/lhnatishin/Tmount2.dxfNot sure what program you need to open it, but a bunch of people have used it with success. Did you ever get a new trans sorted out, or do you need that one frozen to the ground in the storage yard? ;D

LOL ya Mike still unsure on the trans, i have an other option but would i like to know if the one you got is a w56 or not. Did it come out of an EFI truck or runner with locking hubs? If so then its the W series. That didnt have a t case did it?
Hey Mo, that would be great if you can convert that autoCAD file....i had the 2008 version but it was some trial copy or somthing that ran out and dont want to load it back up again as it was a pirated version with a lot of screwing around to get it to work.

That's cool man, long as you know its there I honestly don't know much about it, it was in the back seat of my spare 4runner, with the previous owner's intention to replace it because the existing trans won't hold 1st. It was destined to go into a 1990 4runner 22RE with manual hubs if that helps. And no, no TC. I have a spare, but the bearings have some rust on them from sitting out. Wouldn't be my first choice, but might be fine too.

That would be a forward shift tranny too i think, both gear and t-case shifter on the tranny itself, so i would need a forward shift case for my crawl box.

Yaaay something to update Got my hydro ram cut down to the size i need, i marked off where the shaft goes into the cylinder then proceeded to cut the weld of the original U mount off. With that cut i took the ram apart to be able to use the lathe to part of the excess material and to keep the seals from melting when i weld the U back on. Really not much to the ram, just an outer seal/threaded cap then a piston with a seal at the bottom held on by a lock nut. I took the shaft over to the smaller Do-All lathe in between jobs, used a brass shim to protect the chrome finish and parted off the un-usable chunk. Basically i left .250" from where the seal would be when the ram is fully compressed, just enough room for a chamfer and small locating tit. No pics of the machining stage as i wanted to keep the heat down You can kinda see the tit i machined to keep the U somewhat square to the shaft for welding. Used the tig to tack it in 4 spots checking to see it was still square. Then setup the turn table to get a nice even weld around the entire shaft using a 7018 rod in stick mod. Got it burnt in nice and good, no slag or anything on the shaft...i was pumped. Let it cool, put the piston and seals back on and got it back together and installed. I still have to clean up the diff mount to get the bottom mount to sit totally flat but it's good enough for now. I set up the ram to mount under the tie rod rather then behind it just so its easy to get at and it let me keep a nice straight angle of travel for the ram to cycle on. A lot of guys were having issues with the tie rod turning and actually loosening the jam nuts with the ram mounted in behind like the kit TG sells. As far as i can tell mine doesn't twist at all through the entire stroke.....oh i plan on making a brace/protector outa some pipe to keep rocks/logs from hitting the ram or damaging a line. Similar to this I'm going to try and get the ported box and lines installed on Saturday which would let me move onto another task on my "To Do" list of mods before summer. Next up is new clutch/tranny/dual case install, then some cage work......cant wait
