I'm looking at buying the Lincoln 140 that CT has on sale for $499 from time to time (reg $649), but I'm wondering if someone has a used one for sale.
I'm looking for something 110v that takes gas and works good. No offbrand cheapo. If I can save some cash and still get a good welder, all the better, but if not, I'll just end up getting the MIG-Pak 140 next time its on sale.

Have you tryed a Lincoln , how about the Miller , or Hobart ?
I have used all three , and Lincoln , would be my last choice . I do own a 140 miller , and love it
I have swayed a few people into trying Miller , and they have thanked me for it later

As long as its within a similar price range, I'd have no qualms going miller. I'm essentially just starting out, and want a welder that I can learn on, and use for a long time.

Have you tried P.A. ? they sell Lincolns as well , and near the same price as C.T.
Millers are more $ But its prob because C.T. doesn`t sell them and there are less of them in population , Lots of Lincoln`s for sale used

I realize that, but was just curious. Likely an error. 220v isn't completely out of the question, but the 110v would be plug and play.

Seems like an excellent deal. Even better than the $499 MIGpak 140 when it goes on sale.
