Lots of good advice on here. Good on you for getting a lawyer.
I only have one other piece of advice. Document, Document and more document. Start right now! Take a book and start writing all the details you remember, from the first contact to the salesman, to the negotiations for a Rubicon, and especially who you talked to and what was stated when you went back to the dealership. Write down names and dates and details, add quotes to comments if you can. Note the date and time you took it to APJ's. Also take pictures with date stamps now.
This will help you with the lawyer, and if it ever does go to court it will serve to remind you of what happened. And most importantly, if you have notes and they don't, and you can state you wrote it right after the fact and the other party is going from memory, there is a much higher chance of your statement standing up against the other party.

Strange how things happen. Paula is looking at replacing her Passat soon so she was on canadatrader.com and saved a few vehicles for me to take a look at. One just happened to be an 06 BMW X3 that guess who has for sale...Rallye. Being that it was certainly in the running as a replacement vehicle for her I thought it best to write them an email explaining how word of mouth affects their business.... . Interested to see what kind of reply I get.

This is a terrible situation. Good luck with the lawyer.
I don't intend to sound ignorant however I must ask...
Did you test drive this before you bought it? I can't stress this enough at work with my customers. Sign for what you get. Even when I bought my Trooper, I looked over it 5 or so times, test drove it once, then made my offer based on what my opinion was of the truck.
I made sure the windows all went down and then back up. Checked that the power mirrors folded in and out, made sure the A/C worked, and of course I checked the 4 wheel drive, as its useless without it.
If it would have come with something like air lockers or spot lights... whatever, it would have been my responsibly to make sure they work to my liking before I pay for the vehicle.
The dealer should have given you ample opportunity to check the Rubi over before papers were signed... its not like you went to Sobeys and picked it off the shelf, and went through the speedy checkout.... correct?
Just my thoughts on it, and I hope everything works out for you.

WOW sorry to read about your dilema. I would be ripping mad. Rallye is a shitty spot from what i know. Really hope you get all fixed up.
I will put a copy of this on our NB site for more exposure.

Thanks paul1000rr for doing that as I tried to register in the NB forum but it would not let me.
Shadow that is awesome that you sent that email and I will be very curious to hear what their response will be. Hopefully this will put a little pressure on them and more importantly help someone else from running into the same problem.
I sat at work last night and wrote up a very formal and well thought out email to Rallye telling them this would be my last attempt at resolving this is before I seek out legal consult and also copied in customer relations for Hyundai Canada.

do a couple checks for me, first, check the insides of the rocker panels under teh doors, for spots that were fixed where rocker panels were removed. Next check inside the back corners where the lights were . you should find that it has been repaired also where the lights were flushed to the tub. If so im pretty sure i know the jeep better then the previous owner. it went to auction with the 44's under it, and was bought by saturn, who is owned by rallye, so someone there will know where they went. the previous owner even went in to check it out, and find out what they were asking on the lot( it was a lease return for him) he spent thousands to make sure it was mint before it went back. As soon as i get to my own computer i will post some picture of what it used to be. It was always my dream jeep
