2-3 ppl and at 2 trolley jacks if ur replacing with new arms or removing one end of control arms at any point during disassembly! (this helps in aligning bolts for reassembly) Tall jacks stands too. Soak everything wit GOOD penetrating fluid 3 times week prior to crackin a bolt! Not WD-40 either! Get impact (elec/air) for those rusty bolts if thats ur case! Play safe and happy wrenching!!

My next question is what is the easiest way to put in new front coils. The Hanes manual says to unhook just about everything on the front end. But I was wondering if you could use some coil spring compressors to put them in. Anyone have any ideas for me?

Yep, it is doable with spring compressors. You will still have to unhook the shocks.

Easiest way to put the front coils in especially with 3" springs is diconecct the tie rod ends and shimmy shock, and the axle trac bar mount as well as the lower control arms...let the axle drop and they will just slide in...then with a trolley jack , jack the axle back up until you can reattach the lower control arms...then reattche the tierod ends..install the tires...to reattach the trac bar start the jeep and turn the wheels back ant forth until the holes line up ....very simple and should be quick....unless all your bolts are siezed in the bushings..
