Hey just wondering if anyone is doing a lift on an XJ soon, this is one mechanical thing that I haven't actually seen done. I am looking to put one on mine in May, but I would like to assist or watch someone do one before then....if possible. Very interested!!!!! Thanks

"ya but id have to turn it 8000 times..." ROFLMFAO
Oh boy ive had those days!
PS- the best peice of advice is to get THE BEST penetrating fluidu can get ur hands on , like a couple cans and start soaking all the fasteners a month before u plan to do this lift...... keep spraying every week.!!!!! There are some bolts like the leaf spring bolts in video #1 that you cant get to the "nut" side to heat it up and break it loose. Most of the time those bolts are seized into the bushing sleeve itself not just on the nut. Those and the upper shock bolts in the rear are notorious for either breaking or not coming out!!! Little prevention will save you ALOT of headaches while doin this!

Ya just missed mine. #1 tool is a grinder. #2 is a big hammer. #3 would be a reciprocating saw. Plan to replace most bolt's, and save time and work and cut t them out. Depends how high you go on what you have to do. Good luck, hope to see you on the trails. PS,, Xj's are more fun ;D short wheel base and round lights are wayyyyyyyy over rated,,, Da Dogg

lol all sounds good i heard bout the leaf bolts...i was told to leave that main one in if its anygood and just cut the bolt that holds the pack together and get new ones bent to 5in since i want a 4.5" that way it gives it a bit to settle........... anyhow i am researching and researching away just would love to see one hands on!!! thanks everyone

Well watch my build thread, I still have more to do, drop over anytime Im wrenching.
Ya wanna learn hot to remove a transfer case That leason ib tommorow nite ;D
BTW, I would buy a lifted Cherokee and take the lift off and put it on your's. Experience removeing it, and installing it. Also many spare parts.
