Yea, odd situation, duplicated from an incident from 3 years ago, but I sheared off all 4 bolts on my rear yolk, and liberated my driveshaft from my jeep.
Bolts are near impossible to remove when cut off flush. Looking for a 8.25 yolk, so I can make it to work on monday.
I have use of a vehicle sunday so I can fix my jeep. Let me know, it will really help me out.

Just weld some nuts on them and they should pop out easy as pie.

just an aside - I dropped an XJ rear shaft out one time because the rear u-bolts worked loose, coupled with a soft trans mount.
something to check if its a mystery.

Got if figured. There is a little tab on either end that keeps in the u-joint caps, and when mine let go, it tore a chunk out, removing that tab and a bit of material under it. I welded a nut into the gap, and used a dremel and grinder to reshape it back to the same tab as the other side. Some finagling and I got it done. Nut/weld trick worked great at removing the sheared studs. The heat alone made them loose.
One note. Only two of the sheared off bolts were shiny metal. No idea when the other strap let go. Possibly the results of over-tightening maby.
