I picked up an NP231 transfer case about a month ago that was for sale with and SYE already installed. well i got around to installing it today and the spline count was different on the input shaft of the transfer case. my old case was 21 and the new was 23 or vice versa i can't quite remember.
my jeep is an 02 TJ and i was told the case came out of a cherokee.
my main question is even though the spline count is different on the input shaft of the transfer case is the output shaft of the transfer case the same spline count as my transfer case allowing me to swap the SYE into my case?
I apologize if any of that doesn't make any sense, let me know and ill try and explain it better.
thanks in advance for any input
