A new Mud Pit is been open in Middleton / Wilmot area. The address is 877 Vault Rd., It is off #1 Highway. Phone # 765-0974 The owner Mr. Greg Banks is inviting anyone to come to the opening. The Mud Pit is 150' long and 50' wide, mainly consisting of clay. The day to put on your calendar is Saturday, 14 August 2010. The gate will open at 10 am, and the Mud Pit at 1 PM. Pig Roast around 6 PM. There will be a $10.00 entrance fee as a spectator, under 12 years old it is free. Or, $20.00 will include your entrance fee and your pig roast plate. They are prepared for 125 plates. You may want to book ahead. The Mud Pit itself is free, if you wish to compete. No prizes for the winner. You should have tow hooks and be ready to hook up the straps yourself. You should bring your own chair and be ready to get muddy specially if it is raining. Rain or shine it will go ahead. NO PETS ALLOWED, for safety reason. Waiver will have to be signed by all participants. The classes have not been determined yet, depending how many participants. It could be by tires sizes or by # of cylinders.
Greg is also in process of developing dirt oval race track and a 4x4 race circuit.
I am only advertising this events for Greg, (and I am hoping that this info is correct). If you have any questions or if you want to book ahead for your pig roast plate.
It should be mentioned, it is planned as a fun day, it is his first time organizing something like this.

One day thing? Or would tenting overnight be allowed. Just wondering if its a party after or more of a family event through and through. Awesome either way.

As far as I know it is only one day thing. It is his first time doing this. I think he his testing the demand for this kind of activity. But if you wish to set camp on my lawn you are more than welcome. But you have to promess me that you are not going to wet your pants Mickey

how late to the bogs go on till do they end at 6 when the pig roast startes or does it continue on into the evening?

I just talked to Greg. Yes rough camping will be available. He really means rough. Only potty will be available. As for how late it will go, it is NOT intended to go into the darkness. He mentioned that quit a few from the Back Country 4x4 club will be there to put a show on.
