With my 4.0L swap, I want to go to the TJ NV3550 transmission. Problem is that the clutch is quite worn, and needs replacement.
In my YJ now, is an AX15 with very little wear on the clutch, 8000km at the very most.
My question is this. Can I take the clutch from a AX15, with internal slave, and use it with the NV3550, which is external slave.
Anyone know, or know how I could find out?

Check part # for both, visually compare the 2, I think you will find they will swap.

The disc is the same for both, can only find part # for kits, so they are different # because of the bearing.

Yea, fair enough. I'll put them side by side once the tranny is out of the YJ. Its an abstract enough question that no one is going to know for sure, off hand lol.
Thanks, Rob D

Early NV3550 (2000 TJ) trans had a problem with popping out of 1st gear. If it didn't happen until after the warranty ran out it wasn't covered. I had one of these, and it's very expensive to fix.
