We would like to use Johnstons Settlement Trail For our Support the Troops Run, this way we can also use The Quarry for a more challenging run, and Keep the group pretty much together.
Here's the thing, the front half of Johnstons was Clear cut and we will need lots of bodies to reclaim the Trail. 15-20 bodies would be best to do it effectively and in one day!
This is a great trail, Lets bring it back ..
As the Support the troops run will be on the 13th of November we Have the weekends of Oct 30-31 and Nov 6-7th. Lets choose a day and get this done.

Well done Lance!! that's a great idea!! I'm not sure I can afford to make the trip, I won't rule it out, but as you probably know that every trip I make to the Valley is 3+ hours each way and pretty much a $200. trip and if we came for clearing we couldn't afford to come for the run (not that I am sure we can even afford to come for the run either) and I/we would love to make it for the "Support Our Troops" run, it was on the Support Our Troops run almost 3 years ago that Cindy and I met and we have lived happily ever after... Yeah, it was a consideration when Becca was still living in the Valley but now that she lives with us, we don't really go far enough from home to justify one...The only times I run to the Valley now is to wheel and I would have to bring my Jeep anyways... I probably would save a whack of money having a daily driver that is better on gas than a Jeep on 37's...but I love my Jeep so much that I would rather drive it over a car anyday...literally  lol Jeff |
