Hi, I'm new here but not new to Jeeps. I've had a couple CJ's over the years that were fun. An 83 with 258 (4speed I think) and 33" mudders...then the frame broke just before the driver rear wheel. And a black 85 Renegade but I was stupid and traded it for something else. I've even wheeled a Samurai before they were cool... this was back in '86: www.daemon.ca/vehicles/85samurai.jpgRight now I'm selling my bronco II and getting back to what I actually want... a Jeep. As a comparison, the BII has been good for hauling kids and gear on the valley highway in any nasty conditions that you could throw at it but it's just not the same. It has the utility of a Jeep but not the look. Anyway, I hope to be wheeling an old YJ or CJ soon and join the club trail runs. cheers... Darren

Welcome. There are lots of good JEEPs out there. Don't limit yourself to CJ and YJs. Grands and Cherokees etc are great too. Most have never been wheeled and make a fantastic base for a wheeler.

I guess I'm spoiled by short wheelbase / turn on a dime aspect of the CJ/Yj type of rig.
Cherokees are nice but the top doesn't come off! (without a plasma cutter that is)

What part of the Valley are you from?
Come on out to a meeting sometime, even if you haven't gotten your Jeep yet. If you want to ride along on a trail run sometime, someone usually has a spare seat.

Well I live in Dartmouth but I make runs to Windsor and Hantsport all the time on weekends.
I still have my BII (31's going on it this weekend hopefully) If you don't mind a cough-Ford-cough tagging along until I find something with a flat windshield....
