The Astro ps pump ran steering as well as brakes, little different setup with the remote reservoir but should bolt up. Not all Astros were hydroboost but most were.

Jan, you sure it's a series 4? the first 3 of the model number (201) tell the model number. the (13 6) on the top row is the year it was manufactured. if I'm wrong, that's fine. Also, if you want 100% certainty, call TRC hydraulics, they are the Eaton dealer, and can ID anything as long as you have tha tmodel number (201 1017 004). No, not sure. Its not clear. see here, last page, gives naming convention. eatonsite.com/HydPLL/pdfs/C-STCU-TS011-E.pdfThe number on mine is 201 1017 004. date code is useless, don't know what decade. The forklift may be from the 60's. Olddog - I got a newer cell, don't need one, but I could use some 5 point harnesses that are out of date.

Cool, thx. Figured there would be some around from the racers. My seats have two holes for shoulder straps, looking for that style.

Is your steering valve a 4 port or a 5 port? The info that Dan posted sounds like a 5 port with load sense. If you have a 5 port with load sense,I dont think that it will work for you(I tried that once).
Wonder what the displacement is?

4 port, no power beyond, ie 5th port. (like that? I've been reading Billavista) Char-Lynn load sensing Steering Control Units and priority valves can be used with open center, closed center or load sensing systems.* *The unit being load sensing, or not, doesn't matter? To my limited understanding at this point - you can just block the 5th port, if its open center SCU, which uses a power steering pump. (fixed displacement) Some units are closed center and must be used with variable displacement pump. (not a power steering pump), so won't work for 4x4's. Back to the load sensing - gotta read some more, but i think it requires using a double acting balanced cylinder. (which is what I'm using) Once i know the model, it will be easy to look up displacement and then not calculate cylinder speed and just put it together and see how fast it is. Not even sure if its open center yet either. This is my first foray into hydraulics......I know there are pros and guys dealing with it everyday on this forum....please please please correct me if I'm wrong on any of this stuff.

The Astro ps pump ran steering as well as brakes, little different setup with the remote reservoir but should bolt up. Not all Astros were hydroboost but most were. The P pumps should all swap, yes. And a remote res. would be ideal to increase fluid volume and keep it cooler, and be easy to mount. The hydroboost P pumps have two low pressure returns as far as I know. That chassis I've got for the 52 International has hydroboost, I'll get to looking at that. edit: ya, 2 returns on the 85 Chev 1ton. hamcan P pump.

I believe I have a PS pump off a 1/2 ton sitting in my garage if it is of any use to you. Was off a 4.3L V6 but the truck was the HD model

Creepy I tried to use a 5 port and so did my friend Ian. You can not block the 5th port and if you run it back to tank they will work, but overheat within 2 minutes.
