I picked up this locker for a good price, and I'm a little confused as to which type it is. The came from a TJ with a D35, and is going into a 92YJ rear end. As far as I know, the automatic locker market is made up of Richmond Lock-Rite, Detroit EZ-locker, and Aussie-Locker. After much interneting, I think I can safely say it is not an Aussie, due to the fact that it has the spring insertion holes, which the Aussie does without. Now, it doesn't appear to be exactly the same as either a EZ or LR, from the pics I've found on the internet. The inner spacer is what has me stumped. Nothing I have read shows a spacer like that. Here is the inner sleeve/spacer and the part it sits in. One shown one way, one the other. These marks on the crosspin are a little concerning. Also, doesn't a lockrite come with a replacement, smooth pin? Notice how the spacer has a tab that locks into only one portion of this. There is some movement back and forth within this space. Let me know your thoughts or ideas. Thanks Rob D

Found it. Powertrax noslip locker. Incidentally made my Richmond as well. Similar to a lockrite, but it has the extra feature of silent running during turns. This is a good thing www.richmondgear.com/powertrax/noslip.htmlwww.richmondgear.com/0002pdfs/8221031A.pdfStill not thrilled with the wear on the cross shaft. If my old one is the same, I'll reuse it. I now have the installation manual, and it appears all parts are present and accounted for Tomorrow night is installation time. Rob D

The cross shaft is in one piece. It'll be fine. The locker will make all kinds of noise anyway... "Silent".... good luck with that. lol

Cross shaft doesn't seem like a big deal. It is case hardended, if the wear gets down to soft steel, it will wear really fast and gall. shiney and smooth is good.

It is enough to catch a finger nail, not sure how far case hardening goes. Supposedly, this locker makes one snap/click at the beginning of the turn, and then is quiet. Others on the market ratchet aparrently. Anyways, this is my first kick at the cat for lunch box lockers, I'll see how it goes. D35 isn't the best choice to get a locker for, but it is more in my price range than an 8.8 upgrade or something. Came with 2 free axle shafts too Rob D

They will behave quite differently based on a variety of factors... vehicle, tire size/pressure/wear, carrier tolerances, locker wear... Bill

Jamie had it in his d35 and 33" tires and it was quiet no noise from it at all.

I wish it would have work in the 8.25 in my new jeep. But it wouldn't so when I get some more money Tracey well be getting a call. Jaime

Mike W had one in the back of his TJ when it still had a 35. When you are used to a lock rite, they take a bit to figure out for install.

Install was going great tonight, had it figured out, but when I went to install the saddle springs (8 that keep tension on the cross shaft) I discovered that 6 or the 8 are broken, and are too short. Of course I had the jeep on stands, diff open and gears out before I discovered this.
So back together it went with my old welded gears again. It needed a fluid change anyways lol. Now to source a spring kit for this thing.
