In the spirit of Creepy's garage cleaning thread from this past Spring, it motivated me to get me butt in gear and clean mine. This has been a work in progress. I took the 'before' pics from back in the Spring, and started. I already had the metal shelving (unassembled, in a pile), bought those wall organizer things that were on sale at PA, bought some bolt bins.... Before:

...and after months of picking away at it, the odd hour here and there, it's a lot better than it was! I started by putting up that shelving: Now: And wouldn't you know it, those buckets of bolts are STILL buckets of bolts, albeit a little more organized looking buckets of bolts. ...and my bolt bins are still a ghost town of emptiness, awaiting that snowy day in February when there is absolutely nothing else going on. Funny how there always seems to be more important things to do than sort bolts. There are still a few things left to do, but thankfully it's a decent sized garage so even with a bit of clutter there is still lots of room to move around. I post this with the simple goal of it motivating at least one other board member to go and tackle that garage cleaning job!! It sucks but the rewards of being able to find stuff, are worth it. Thanks Jan for posting your efforts, like it said it got me motivated to tackle mine. Winter is coming, doesn't the thought of getting out to the garage with a quart of the Captain, putting on a huge fire in the woodstove, crankin' the stereo, and puttin' stuff away make you want to get at 'er!!! Apparently I missed an angle. Note the all important antlers on the wall.
