Back when i had my ramcharger a friend of mine had a renegade with a 304 , we were out just about every weekend . Only problem with his was passenger rear axles got broken a lot . they sound pretty cool

You'll love a V8. What trans is in the good rig again? T18 iirc? Mine's 360/T18, you can pretty much put it in first and idle thru the trails.
Those Fram oil filters aren't the best, they have a rep for clogging, there is no bypass or something, can't remember exactly.

Car-Quest and NAPA filters are both made by Wik, one of the best.

I did the same thing one time, just grabbed it 'cause it was there on the shelf. I saw the oil gauge in my LJ drop to zero, and the 'check gauges' warning came on. Happened again the next day on way to get new filter.
Never again.

Frams have paper ends on the filter and are also known to have actual holes in the element from improper folding.
