I don't know about those Swayaway's Glen, but they certainly come heavy enough. Darcy Bond has airshocks on his mud truck...and they're holding up a Duramax and a massive Allison.

Would only make sense for that to be 1000lbs/corner sprung weight. You figure the body and drive train is over 4000lbs?

coilovers from CVO are not much more than airshocks.

your not over that.... that just the sprung weight.... meaning just your frame, body, motor, tranny, tcase.... whats your whole jeep weight? about 5000lb's? ish? axles tires and wheels are prob 2000lb's alone. that leaves 3000 left. lots of room to spare

I don't think that I'd run air shocks on a street rig.

www.profender4x4.com/index.phpI see an ISO9000 cert and CNC machines in a clean factory. Stuff looks nice in the ads, albiet very very similar to what is avail in NA. The shock caps are the exact same as the ones I have, which I had assumed were manufactured in North America. (maybe they are made in Thailand ) Where is a 3rd party tech review posted?

All part of the plan! ;D When I bought the tank buddy advertised it as being able to stretch a TJ 6" with a D60... so it's probably gonna be a little bit less then that with the 14 bolt. But yeah, pushing it back aprox 6" will center it under the new fenders... not to mention going up a little in tire size. Yeah I was in a bit of a rush getting the Jeep buttoned up to bring it in to CVO this AM... I'll try getting a longer length of hose on the filler later. Everything on there is tight as hell. Nothing's vibrating off that's for sure. It just looks bad. Glen, after my build the thing that I regretted the most was that I didn't stretch it....I really think to save yourself time and money you really should look to try to get a good 9" or so in while you are redoing your suspension, cut the floor and box the fuel cell in if you have to, I think 5" isn't enough for all the trouble you're going through anyway. You already have the comp cut to allow it..It would make a world of difference, I'd do it to mine if I had the coin... The corners are awesome G, really nice job man! Jeff

I see your point... but my goal is to get the rear tires close to the back edge of the Jeep, and I think 5" and the difference in tire size will get me pretty darn close. Yeah now would be the time... but I have to set a limit somewhere. LOL If I want more wheelbase I'll full hydo the front steering and stretch the shit out of it there. The stretch is just a byproduct of longarming the rear really. The corners because my 38s were binding against the rear corner of the wheel arch... I should have taken more pics. It was either lift it some more... or go this route. Everything kinda evolved into one big project where they're all kinda dependant on eachother. I'm sure eveyone understands that one. LOL
