Are you stepping down John ? I really haven't decided yet Scott, so I am taking the stance right now that I will re-offer if there is no interest by other members in the position.

Am I mistaken in thinking, that the president can only do 2 consecutive terms. Maybe its old age.

unless we are talking about America I do not believe the Charter has any such rule on only 2 consecutive terms.
have read it a few times...just saying

I second the nomination for Mr. Mason for President. Not sure about the 20 year thing though

I always though it was that way too, but maybe it got changed a few years back in the revisions.
It could be a non profit group rule though, as now that I think about it, any club I have been in has been this way.

Just as a heads up, Revenue Canada will be making changes to Non Profit organizations rules. They have not released the new standards yet; but, it would be worth keeping an eye on. I chair or belong to a few other non for profits and we are already making changes to our charters as a result.

Please keep this thread for sole purpose of nomination and acceptance of the nomination. Each nomination will require a mover, seconder and then acceptance by the person nominated. Pretty straight forward I thought.
