Hi - in an effort to have more visibility on club exec., who does what, and having current contact info.....I was thinking of some changes that could be made on the forum.
I had a ranking system active, it used the post counts to assign a rank. that was the 'ubernewb/jeeper/rockcrawler' titles, which I just kind of made up arbitrarily years ago. It doesn't hold any value, just was fun at the time. I have turned off this feature. The post counts are still displayed. And custom titles that active users have gained over the years have remained.
(Custom titles show appreciation for supporting the forum, you don't have to be a club member. Take Dewie for instance, good supporter, lots of pics, friendly and helpful = 'Junklord' after those impressive dozer pics, lol)
I was thinking this makes room in the user's avatar section for their positions in the club.
It would be great if each position holder could post up and state their title, then I can easily go into your profile and make the change.
Its hard for me to do this without a list, but posting up will still work great. I don't want to have to ask for a list as it will make work for someone else, I should be able to handle this alone if everyone gives me their info. I can just click your name after you post and state your title, and its done.
I was also thinking to use colored stars to represent Chapter members - dues paid.
We could have 3 different colored stars to represent each Chapter, and a paid member will have that star displayed under their username the same as the ranking used to be. For this I would need a list, from each Chapter, of active members.
This will give a great visual as to if you are debating a point with a club member or a random person with internet access.
Get a little more value for your membership, an identifying feature on the forum.
