... and it says GMC 2.5 on the back. Before i even attempt at putting this on is this the proper belt? I understand there are different length belts and some cross reference across different makes/models. I just feel there is a higher chance of the computer jockey grabbing the wrong part than it is for a GMC 2.5 belt to match the belt length of my 4.0L

Mine says "Genuine Leather" on the back and there is a number...but I can't quite seem to read that part...fits great though ;D

whats the number on the belt ,put it in google and see what comes up or put it on and see if it fits it only takes 5 mins to put a belt on a jeep tj

2.5 is the width of the belt, GMC is the Americanized name of the chinese kid that made it.

Gentlemen, thank you for all of your responses. I've only ever changed one belt in my life and it was a timing belt on a 98 ford escort and it was not something i'd want to do again. The Jeep appears to have a lot more room to work around so i can see where the ease of accessibility lies. time providing I will take a crack at it tonight.

I can change a serp belt on my old car in about 2 minutes... they're WAY easier than a timing belt man.
