Picked up a parts XJ a few weeks back and it has I believe is the Rugged Ridge tie rod upgrade on it.Its large stock and the ends are not jeep, their much bigger.Would anyone know what ends would be on it? The pin is the same but the rest is much larger....

Are there any cross references for better ends? I know Andre got me a Moog TRE for BDS trackbar in my XJ after I bent up 2 BDS ones.

I have just the RR tierod, and big ends. No probs so far. Stock draglink. The TRE roll doesn't happen with the stock draglink.

My thoughts as well Creepy.Stock drag link with this RR tie rod should be fine. The pin being the week point now.Only one end really need replacement.Everything is welded on this parts jeep. The tie rod at drag link end the nut was welded fast. The tracbar at axle end the nut was welded fast. Two jam nuts on RR tie rod at one end were welded fast to bar! Dam! and not just tacked there neither with a couple spots but welded. Some people's children......

I'm not above tack-welding jam nuts. Should be able to pop them with a wrench tho. They have stayed tight on the LJ, but have had to do it on other rigs. suspension links, etc, not just steering.

Not against tack welding nothing and yes some times steering component's need a weld to not vib lose, but when there welded and nut or complete TRE is destroyed just to hold in place kinda senseless to me?
