Can anyone tell me how to stop the rear glass from popping open on my 03 Jeep TJ Hardtop? Can it be adjusted down??

Hows the rear glass shocks They hold the glass closed as far as i know

I thought the tail gate held the glass closed by the trim piece on the bottom of the glass

not on my tj when I was running no spare tire on the tailgate I could open and closed the glass when I needed some thing out of the back with out opening the tailgate

I thought the tail gate held the glass closed by the trim piece on the bottom of the glass You are correct. One time I didn't close the glass all the way into the trim piece and it rattled. I was unable to open the glass on my '03 without opening the back door. Same thing wih my Rubi.

I do not think you can adjusted the back glass. maybe the hardtop is to far to the front of the jeep Or someone put that seal under the hardtop and now the top is sitting to high Of maybe your missing the lower glass trim seal thing Or Clogged rear vent or a warped tailgate But i think it's the gas shocks

I did some google And jeep had a recall on this in 2004 Maybe yours did not get the recall done on it

Thanks for the link. I never realized that the black clips on the rear of the tub were for the soft top. I thought they were for the hard top glass as that's what is keeping mine nice and secure.
