That's cool. Looked like a decent price on there. Don't worry about it being basic... at the end of the day, all you really need is for it to work when you key it up.

Does anyone in the Digby area have an SWR they can loan out? I will be doing a CB install in the next few week I want to determine if I have to purchase a meter as well.

Anyone in the HRM have a SWR meter I can borrow? Is it required to use one on every install? Not sure if my CB's even picking anything up yet.

I have one but I'm in Truro. If you're passing through, we can find an open area to test.

Yes every time you setup up a mobile you should test it, and test it every once in a while to make sure you arent having any coaxial issues. I have one if Truxterra can't get to you in time.

I have picked up an SWR meter today so there will be one in the digby area now.
Go to Maritime 2-way radio in burnside they can probably help you with the tune. There is also Steve's Radio's on Agricola (specializes in CBs).
