Just wondering about this. I know the font DS on the 92 XJ will fit my 94 but I am wondering if the back one would. The 92 has a D35C and the 94 has the C8.25. Want to keep it as a spare if the rear end of it will connect on the 94. TIA.

Are the yokes for the 8.25 & D35 the same size? That is actually where my question is. I know that on the tranny side they would be as both XJ's have the same one. I am not so sure of the differential side and as you said Jan assuming the shafts are the same length.

Pretty much every Jeep takes the same u-joints in the driveshafts. The 35 driveshaft is about 1/2 inch longer than the 8.25 on. The 35 is good to use in a lifted XJ with an 8.25.

Thanks for the info Jan & Alan. Gonna keep the DS from the 92 anyways. Never have too many spare parts right? Mickey I don't need another DS as I already have a spare one that comes with my 92 XJ.
