I keep blowing the fan motor 25A fuse in the XJ. The fan control resistor was toast so I replaced it with one off the 92. Now I have variable fan speed. My question is this... Could a burnt fan control resistor cause me to keep blowing the fuse or could there be somthing else more that I should look at?

Is the motor in good shape or is it draging, more current draw=blown fuses.

If the resistor burned out and the fuse keeps blowing it's pretty much certain you need a new fan motor.
