Just wondering how hard/easy would it be to recondition a Warn 8274 winch and are the parts that I would most likely need available locally? Here is a pic of the one I am talking about.

Parts are no problem, I know Pecks can get whatever you need. I'll soon be rebuilding mine to put on the new Jeep.

I have one re-built by KAC and it works great! I upgraded the remote switch and got parts from Peck's.

I got one a few months ago. I read that Billavista article plus some others. Ordered the parts from Peck's. Tracy squared me away pretty quick. Just ordered in what he didn't have in stock. I'm doing the contactor swap as the solenoids are getting harder to get. If you can get them you'll end up paying to much probably. I'm sure other vendors on the site could help you out to. I haven't tacked the rebuild yet. Apparently I'm poor at time management.
