If its the same stuff you dip handles in I believe C.Tire ? Guys on the Toy boards use it to cover unwanted chrome or to change colors on the grills and can remove it later.

I thought that Home Hardware was the exclusive retailer for Canada. Correct me if I am wrong. I've only seen it there. Various colours... both the spray cans and the regular cans. Flat black spray cans are in demand and usually you only see one or two on the shelf. Can be ordered in easily. 26 or 27ish per.
Before using it, watch a couple youtube videos on how other people apply it. Clean wax off, etc... use alcohol. I use one heavy coat... the pics above were one light coat then a heavier coat. It smoothed out over night so it's not pebbly like above. We did the badge in the front grill and the gas cap as well. If you don't like it...peel it off!
Jeremy did his entire JK grill.... looked awesome. I don't know how long it would last in the woods through heavy brush. I may do some parts on mine and see.

That's some pretty cool stuff. Makes the emblems really stand out against the orange body.

Mine has been able to stand up to everything I have thrown at it over the last 1 1/2 yrs. It is now starting to show signs of breaking down three days after the Jeep was sprayed with Krown rust control. The guy that sprayed it last year stayed away from the rubber bump stops on the under side of the engine bonnet. This guy didn't.
I'll pull the old Plastic Dip off this weekend and re-spray the bonnet.

My Dakota was just painted and i was thinking about leaving it with no decals but the new front fenders have holes punched for emblems. I might get them and do this.

now, call me crazy but could a fellow apply this plasti-dip and then paint over it with whatever colour he wanted? I see they only have pretty basic colours available. I wonder if that would affect the peely'ness of it.

I don't think it's paintable... we decided to do the whole grill in this 09 1500. one entire can.

Plastidip is paintable some guys have done videos of it. However it reduces the removability of the product, you can remove it but it's harder to do.
