Hi I wasnt fully sure of the best place to post this, but im on the hunt for a rubicon. I checked this one out, halifax.kijiji.ca/c-cars-vehicles-cars-trucks-2007-Jeep-Wrangler-Rubicon-PRICE-REDUCED-W0QQAdIdZ405758552 looked pretty good beside the door brackets need to be painted. It had skyjacker shocks on it, maybe a 2.5" lift couldn't really tell. The stock "rock sliders" under the doors could use alittle tlc aswell. I asked the dealer if he would be interested on trading for my 2009 jeep jk "X" with 96km on it. After market steel front bumper and 33" grabber at2's. Mine is rust free and in pretty good shape nothing mechanically wrong. I was hoping you guys could give me a ball park idea on what a fair trade would be and if there is anything to be concerning with the 2007 model.

Yea I think, I talked to him today. Dam nice guy anyways. He wants to inspect mine before he will give me a ball park offer. Ill see next week I feel with the rust and little marks and such it should be a near Jeep for Jeep. The rubi was trailed at least like a rubi should be hah.

I wouldnt bank on jeep for jeep, most dealerships want to make a buck, there is not a huge difference in years between the two thats really how they see it, and that old black book thing can give you an idea

I traded in my 03 ram 2500 diesel last year there any shawn gave me the best trade in out of our 3 local dodge dealers nearby, I went to all 3. Just keep in any mind no dealers gonna give u a good trade in value, seems like they try to make atleast 5-10k on a trade.

Not all dealers try to make. Money on your trade. I traded a 2005 ford F 150 in at steel chrysler in bayers lake and they sold it to my neighbour for the same as what they gave me for it. They just wanted to sell me a jeep. I also traded a focus there and they gave me 1000 bucks mor than it was worth. I would do a trade there again for sure.

Yeah they still made that money back on the new vehicles you buy from them, but the chances of them trading vehicles straight up that are fairly similar in age miles etc are pretty slim, used for used is a nice thing to do not a $$$ maker they are there to make money. I also traded once but it was a newer vehicle 1998 for a 1992, and it was a shady used dealer but I was tired of the fuel and problems I was having with the 98. At the end of the day if you can leave and not feel like you have been "HAD" I guess its a good deal. If they dont offer you enough for it total up what you want for the "New" Jeep and just sell yours off yourself you will probably get enough to cover it off and not have to get out of pocket if you really want the new one.

2 Guys I know that have traded their jeeps in have found stock stuff and stripped them back down, didnt change the trade in value, dealers actually sometimes prefer the stock ones that dont look like they have been offroad, they used what they could on the new jeeps and sold the rest, something else you can keep in mind to recover a little

The Rubi side is where all the action happens. I won't post specifics on here, because I don't want non-Rubi owners to be privy to that information, but trust me when I say that if you have a Rubicon sticker on your hood, life is better. Hot women, job offers, model shoots, and then there are some really good perks as well.

Actually a CJ is where the real action is. ;D That right Brian. No lockers, A/C, Comfort, quiet ride, dry inside on a rainy day, padded dash. Just look cool, ride on leaf springs not coils, hard on gas, always looking for TLC, And they sure look good sitting in the garage with the door open.
