We took up some old flooring in Olivia's room at the farm today, and as usual for the time, it had newspapers under it. They were from 1946 to 1948 and these 2 adds stood out. From the May 29th,1946 Halifax Chronicle. And from 2 years later.

You need to get those framed. It was always interesting to pull the papers from under the flooring.

Imagine that, a Jeep advertisement in a jeep nut's house ! Awesome find, thanks for sharing ! That was my first thought. My next thought was towing 5500 lbs with an L head and 9" drums at highway speed might be suicide. The CJ2 may have been capable of highway speed, but not comfortable there.

I think that there might be a difference as to defined "highway speed" in 1946 than now though? Just ask Roy, he was around then, wasn't he ?

Wicked! Frame those, put 'em out the new shop. We're putting a small office in, so that's where they will go. Notice the symbol by the front of the Jeep? It says Willys across the top, and Jeep down. Never seen that before!

Just remember when you hang it make sure that its away from sunlight. The UV rays will damage the paper by yellowing it and drying it out. It will also fade the ink.
