Can't give advice without a final tire size. Generally, JK's do not need longarm kits, as the suspension arms are already fairly long. Longarms are necessary on TJ's over 4-5" lift, but not JK's. Unless you are getting into axlw swaps and 38" rubber. The benefits of link suspensions is a massive venture into information overload. get primed here: nsjc.proboards.com/thread/36963/suspension-411-good-links

Then I would only be swapping the front axle for a prorock 44 or something similar which is a lot cheeper then going one more stage up:)... That link is nuts! I'll have to take the time and really read through it, it all seems really interesting. As soon as I figure out the lift I plan on making an order shortly. Once I decide I'll post the order:)

So I went to extend the rear breather today and turns out that the insulator that blocks the dirt from getting in behind the tail light was missing so it was full of guck. So I cut a piece of plastic to fill the hole and Ill run the breather up in the and put spray foam to secure the little panel I made. Maybe get that done tomorrow morning before the run. Don't use spray foam. It will trap moisture. it is for houses.

There is a LOT of soul-searching before you get the courage to start mucking around with a perfectly good Jeep.

how should I seal it? My girlfriends father gave me this idea NEVER ... EVER ... blame your girlfriend for ANYTHING. ESPECIALLY on this forum. After your rig has pulled Creepy's buggy out of a mud hole you may be able to survive it but given you are still in the catalog grazing phase of your build ... just saying.

There is a LOT of soul-searching before you get the courage to start mucking around with a perfectly good Jeep. Plus it takes a certain amount of balls to start cutting things off your Jeep while you are still in the earlier stages of payments !

Where's this build what happened there was alot of thought put into it and advise but? Just wondering been a while that's for sure.... Hi there, your right it has been awhile. I got caught up in school and working on the jeep and forgot about this thread. After lurking for awhile and seeing some big time builds and learning what my rig can do, Im seeing that the original plan is obscene! That being said Ive done a few things to make it more capable and I'm really liking the way its turning out Here's what I've done so far I took 2 days in a driveway and installed my lift. I went with a 3 inch BDS lift with Fox shocks and slapped on a set of 35 inch Toyo Open Country M/Ts on a set of flat black pro comp 7069 wheels. Then I started seeing WAY too many pics of jeeps burnt to the ground so I decided to get a couple of fire extinguishers mounted. Currently I'm working on some Paracord handles and some maintenance work. Just replaced a couple of axle shaft u joints and cleaned up the rust on the frame. Next Im going to get some rock sliders and a cb installed. After riding around in this for a month Im loving the way it rides and handles for a lifted jeep, and the gas milage isn't too shabby either. Hopefully I can get out on a run and really test what she will do

It's coming along nicely. Good call on the fire extinguishers. I see on page one you crossed out your original build plan entirely, and I understand why. I'm just wondering what your future plans, if any, you have left for your build?

Did you use the cam bolts with that 3" or buy arms?
