I couldn't tell the difference in the key either? Jan I'm not sure? The tests all pointed to the starter but the brand new one wouldn't work until the actuator was fixed. I then swapped my old one back in and it started right away. Now if I could only get my key to stay in the ignition on bumpy trails, lol. Is your key wore out ? If not then the tumbler is gone , you would need a new one Yeah the key is worn quite a bit. I will soon replace it with a newer one as I need a second key anyways. Though the tumbler could be worn too. The old girl is 10 now, lol.
