pipe is a lot cheaper and more avail. you don't need tube for woods buggy on a budget. my whole chassis is pipe. You'll need a bender. You can cope with just an angle grinder.
I don't have my laptop with the chassis model here at work, but I'll check it from home and post how much pipe is in it. I think Rue mentioned in his latest build how much length of tube is in that chassis.

I used 6 lengths for the two seater frame and 10 lengths on Darren's four seater..

Hi Andy! Nice to see you around. I went and checked that you sold the chassis you had. I was going to link it here.
21' lengths?
that's what Metalsrus supplies, and what I've seen at Big6's sprinkler shop.

just called a local welding shop here in the valley, sounds like $4.75-$5 a foot depending on size and thickness eh?

1 1/4" Schedule 40 is 5.16/foot full retail price(from the pricing catalog I have).
I have seen pipe at places like Home Depot before, not sure on pricing(it wasn't on the website).

Call metals r us and get a price on 1.660"x .125" wall handrail. Think it comes in 24' lengths. I'm goin to guess on a price, but I think it should be around $50 or $60 a length. MBW should beable to deliver it. There rates r good.
I'd plan on 8 lengths for a full tube chassis.
Not sure where u r in the valley, but if ur close to Kingston /middleton area, I could get u a price from Russel metals. Larger orders get free shipping.

my old chassis is sitting behind my garage. its set up for hydro steering, coil overs, and air bumps, in the front. so you'd have to get into it pretty serious.you could modify it to take coils in the front again, but leafs would be out of the question. it was built out of a Suzuki samurai, had toy axles under it. lots of pictures of it in the buggy pics section.
