I am a bit behind on the pics
Finished the frame skid , and cut the old control arm brackets
Made a steering box brace , welded a plate to the inside frame
Ground out the web with the grinder on the steering box
Muffler clamp welded on a piece of pipe
Welded the pipe to the plate
Bolted the muffler clamp ( 2 1/8 ) to the steering box
Easy peasy steering box brace
Bolted the sway bar back on and started the 6.5 BDS lift
Hung the front shocks and lower control arms
Was waiting for parts , so started the RCV's
A little grinding to the knuckle
And pop , in they go
Other side
new wheel bearing
Chris was over , and seam sealed / rocker guard
I picked up a ZJ pitman arm for it , its about 1 in drop over stock XJ ( I forgot to take a pic on the ground )
Stock XJ and the BDS drop pitman ( I think it was too much drop , and didn't use it )
Upper arms in
Hung the rear axle by the shocks ( My pops was over , he is semi retired and misses this stuff . I put him to work running all new brake lines )
T case skid
Front coils in
I left Chris alone for the night , and he finished up the rocker guard
Monday the shop was a mess , the welding bay was plugged off with parts , boxes etc , I cleaned it up and got my jeep in for a look ( need to do some work on it )
Hmmm I think I have enough parts laying around here to make these fit
Alan made up some 1 ton steering linkage , thats all in place now
There was no fan shroud , all I had was the broken one from the parts rig . some JB weld and some speedy ties
Done and installed as well as the elec fan and new Battery
I also swapped over the header and head light surrounds that Chris painted , the black looks way better then the white
I am still waiting on the rear springs . I hope they are here before the storm starts tomorrow
The list is getting shorter
I would love to have it done and out for alignment on friday !
