hey im going to start my 4.0 swap in my 88 YJ this evening, it currently has a 4.2 in it witch is almost ready to come out, i have a 95 yj parts jeep here that runs, so im wondering what im going to run into(electrical) wisei have everything harness and computer im just looking for some insite from someone that has done the swap (PS:not looking to do the head swap at this time) thanks aaron

Swap over all of the harness , computers etc , under hood and under the dash , its the easiest way to do it

PM'd back. It is probably one of the easiest engine swaps you can do if you have a complete parts YJ. Even though I went through wiring diagrams, I could not get the body harness to play nice with the new engine harness. I eventually swapped ALL wiring over, and life was good. You will also need to swap the fuel tank, or put an in-line pump. (I use an XJ fuel pump, they are plentiful and have no issues running outside of a tank.)
Good luck. You won't regret ditching the carb.
