Well I sold my 2 door JK Rubi in mid-January, and I started collecting parts shortly after that for my new JK build. It is now time to begin. Here are what build specs will be: 2012 JKU 383 Stroker Chevy Built 400 Turbo tranny Atlas 2 speed (4.33:1) DynaTrac ProRock 60's, 4.56 gears with Detroits Full hydro steering 16" 2.5 coilovers and air bumps 43" Super Swamper SX Here is the starting point. 383 SBC 428HP, 442 TQ This is a fairly detailed project for me to bite off, with very my limited fab experience, so I will be learning as I go. I know I'll frig shit up and some stuff will be multiple attempts until I get something I'm happy with, but at least I'm going into this with that expectation, and no real timeline for completion. Everybody starts somewhere, so let's do this.

Doing it on your own with the ability to ask question on a forum like this is great. Lots of knowledge here and lots of opinions as well. Good for you to take on a large build like this. I personally cannot wait to see what you create.
Good luck Steve.

Another good build to follow! I may as well cancel cable.
This is a stupid question but it's bugging me, that frame looks too long to be for a 2 door. It is for a 2 door right? Just confirm so I can move on with my life.

Yeah, she's a JKU --> a 4 door. It'll be offroad only - trailer queen between my Tundra. Which by the way I haven't posted a pic of yet. Here she is freshly waxed after last weekend. And save your pennies for next year's Jam, because there is zero chance it will be ready for Jam this year. Considerably less than zero. Did you see the pics? LOL. As it is, I think it will be an ambitious plan for me to have it ready for next year.

One of those real hot smelly ones eh? Blue, Patriot Blue PB7 (Paint code) is the way to go. Pay homage to the Jeep that did the brakeline hill climb in reverse gear.

I vote for blue as well!
Nice build. You already have the big items unlike a lot of daydreamers with no budget. Good luck and don't rush things.
