My wheels are threaded not inserts. Sucks if I strip one.

Cool thanks. I don't need the bolt bins themselves...I'll drop in and see if they can do something similar. ..bits only, no bin. Should be a fair bit cheaper.

Well. I think I have my first significant f - up in the books. I cut the rear of my frame off so I can narrow it. The plan was to weld a piece of square tube across the end of the original section and butt weld the narrowed rear back on. Frame is cut, but I think the rear 4 link is going to hit where the new crossmember will be.
I have pics. Will upload in the morning. So frustrating. Just when you think you thought of everything, Ahhhh NOPE ya didn't.

Proposed fix. Weld in the square tube, weld on the narrowed frame, gusset it up real nice, then cut out the middle piece of square tube.

I'd forget about the rear frame right at the moment. Mount ur four link in there first, than figure out something for the frame. That way you can cycle the suspension, and figure out what's going to interfere.
But that just the way I'd do it. LOL

It looks like a hotrod with the grill and front axle so far ahead. Comming along nicely though.

I just hung the grille on there for a laugh. As for the front frame length, I intentionally left the rails about 6 inches longer than stock, in case I want to do something a little different up there. I expect to have a front suspension stretch of a few inches, so I wanted to keep my options open. I can always cut it shorter but harder to make it longer.
I cut 15 inches of width out of the rear of the frame.

Nah. Things are happening but it's not spectacular or picture worthy. Next pics will be when the rear is sitting on its coilovers, which should be by the end of this weekend if all goes well.
