Saw that Larry posted on FB that he found a tick. We took one off one of the cats last weekend. Only the second one we've ever had on any of the pets in 20 years here.
They're moving north, going to get you city folks soon! They'll be crossing the causeway soon to invade CB.

They seem to be bad early this year. Knock on wood, we've been lucky so far. My wife's friend in coleharbour, in town, had numerous on her dogs the last few days and one on her self last night. Its not looking good for this season.

My son had one last week, pretty normal for the south shore. Get the stuff from the vet for ticks and fleas, you won't be disappointed. Advantix?

I can live with ticks, they don't creep me out to bad, but where I live, I have had some issues with these.... damn wood spiders!!! We used to get them in the house pretty frequently, the biggest one was about 3-4" wide without the legs. We trapped him in a bacardi glass and basically cut off his legs, just his body was in the glass with not much room left. I had another big one on the wall of my wood shed too, but I never got a chance to measure that one. 12ga didn't leave much evidence other than a hole in the wall I started spraying my foundation and any spot I figured they could get in last year, with Ortho Home Defense Max, and I haven't seen any in the house since. Still see them outside around the shed, but as long as they stay out there, that's fine with me.

Killed one on the dash of the Jeep yesterday. Was driving through some tight trails in Bowater off the 103. Must have dropped in the open roof.
