To replace my 12 year old Interstate battery. It no longer will charge enough to start the ZJ. I thought I'd give the Optima one last try, it would roll the engine slowly after a few hours charge and finally started it, but then the volt gauge started going nuts so I pulled it back out quickly. Had the battery that came in the black Commando...that one is completely shot.
Of course, it had to finally give out on a holiday and the day after Matt moved to Kentville with the Subaru.
I guess tomorrow is battery shopping day after I drop Joan off at work. Either that or head for Bear River after her shift and get the Ranger.
Drive belt blew in the washing machine too. I hate Mondays even when they are a holiday! LOL

So my Walmart battery in the Jeep may only last another 4 years? I did kill it using the winch setting poles without the Jeep running this summer. Boosted it and it's still going.
I have a washer story. There was an ad for a combo washer/dryer for free on FB, said the element was gone. I figured it was worth a shot since those combo machines are well over $1000 and I had a place for one and the ability to fix it. I dropped in to the guys house to pick it up. We had to carry it up a flight of stairs, down the hall and out on the front deck. As we walked out on the deck he literally disappeared. Fell off the deck into the bushes and ripped his pants, hurt his pride. Lol
I get it stored and a few weeks later he gets word to me, their new dryer didn't work either, it was the plug. There is nothing wrong with the one he gave me.

Now that's a good washer story for you, not so much for him. Unfortunately, I think the drive belt that was laying in the bottom of my washer eliminates the plug . Funny thing is, with all the technology in that front load washer it didn't have a sensor for a broken belt, it merrily ran through its cycle doing nothing. Sent from my Arc using proboards

New battery in and all is good. When I could get it going with the old battery it would sputter and I'd have to keep my foot on the gas to keep it running or even to start it, the lights in the door switches would flicker and the switches would click on their own and the gas gauge would only work when the engine stumble went away - all fixed with the new battery.

Oh, the washer is fixed too. The guys at Reliable Parts on Ilsey are great to deal with and very knowledgeable.

I keep checking it and it never goes down...388k on the old girl, knocks like a diesel and I've never had to put a drop in it side from oil changes.
If only the rest of it wasn't showing its age.
Good to see you back on the board John.
