Ive been looking at some homemade ones from www.4x4xplor.com/homediscos.html. Ive seen the pros and cons and everything they said is great for someone who lives in California . Anyway what I am asking is if I put these on my 98 Xj are the Clevis Pins going to rot out because of the salt before I even use them or will I even be able to remove them. also has anyone tried the Rough Country 1128 - Front Sway Bar Quick Disconnects www.amazon.com/Rough-Country-1128-Disconnects-3-5-6-5-inch/dp/B00C0XC56C, and would they be worth the money. thanks, Eric

I just knocked the lower pin/bolts out of mine and replaced them with regular bolts. Find its easier and just as fast as the disconnects I had on my old TJ.

I run the rc ones on my jku, I haven't had any issues since I made sure they were tightened properly. My clevis pins after 2 winters did start to rot out, but I just bought new ones, picked up a set for a couple bucks. I keep extras in with my recovery gear just in-case.

Clevis pins are cheap... $2 for a pack of 4 at Princess Auto. I have Zone disconnects for the last 3+ years.

The RC ones are cheesy to say the least not up there in quality..The JKS ones are nice and I have a set of RubiconExpress GenII ones here that I've run for years work real nice for disconnecting. They are pricey though but got mine on a deal brand new for $70....
