I have been waiting over 8 weeks for simple trackbar bushings.
I could have ordered them online and had delivery long ago.
Not impressed with the service of our vendors. I know its a small part but it is important. I dont expect things over nite but to me this is bull****.
I expect better service from our vendors. This is what gives business a bad name and reputation.
I will order online, and recomend people take their business elsewhere.

I feel like that's a common theme for most offroad shops whether it's in North Nova or the city. They don't have the money or the business to hire a dedicated parts orderer/receiver so it lands on the shoulders of the guy who runs the front desk who is swamped with a million other things. Don't get me wrong it pisses me off as well, but I've come to realize and expect that it's just the way the local businesses work.

I am self employed and run a small business. I have to do everything I can do for my customers and people who are just asking questions about my product. It might not be a sale to them but word of mouth will get around if you are a business that is easy to deal with or not.

What did the vendor say when you followed up with them on when the part would be in?

I was just thinking yesterday I am done with online ordering auto parts. Lots of junk, and 2 days of jumping through hoops for warranty replacement. I can get cheaper prices for better parts with more warranty locally.

Here in Edmonton the problem is different - very few local suppliers where you would know the guys names - but big companies like 4wheelparts who can get you anything but you're just a number. Too bad there isn't any middle ground. (although I shouldn't complain about 4wheelparts - I was in there the other day and the guy spent 1/2 hour with me discussing stuff knowing that I wasn't buying right now - and going in there is like a kid in the candy store LOL).

Work 12 hour shifts so it was easy to just have stuff sent home. Nothing open when I get off work, and if I'm at home I pay twice the price and nothing in stock.

Ya getting bds stuff from the local dealer here in ns sucks. Takes months. I'm in need of bushing that are covered under warranty and last time I ordered them it took 3 months to get them. Good thing it's not a daily driver.

I get a kick out how no one will say the names, so all 3 get slagged by default. lol

maybe keep in mind that local distributors are at the mercy of the manufacturers they represent. I've had a punch and chisel set on order with snapon for 3 months and every time I call they say its shipping in two weeks. I could cancel it but the customer really wants snapon and even though he isn't happy with the delivery he does understand its not me who has the problem. Perhaps its a production issue or lack of raw product that is causing problems for you.
