I had to crawl in my tail gate to start her up and then even after she ran for 50mins was still a block of ice... my scraper shattered into 20 pieces I ended up using a rubber mallet to beat all the ice off my hood...drivers side door handle is still frozen solid

Frozen in Lake Echo. Jeep looked like an igloo. Started the rig at 5:30 am left the yard at 7:00 am. Had to scrape and keep setting the rear defrost. Left Gerri's Grand Am at home. Drove her and a friend to their work. Jeep is in the bays here at work de-icing. Blocks and huge pieces of ice still falling off the old heap. But hey, I made it to work and Duratrac's worked awesome.

The Overland is parked in the garage waiting for a power steering return line and the TJ next to it. I must say I love having the garage cleaned out to fit both Jeeps when we have shit like this to deal with in the morning !

James, if you feel an urge to do some ice scrapping I am sure someone, somewhere close could put you to work. LOL

I used boiling water from the kettle. Poured around the door and over the door handle and she opened right up. Then it's idle idle idle.

Passenger window on the Xj was down a crack during the rain storm, so my passenger seat is a block of ice now!

Nah. Did it for years on the rock, never did break one. Although if you had a crack already it probably wouldn't help.
