Leaks out around seal at pitman arm.Anyone ever just replace that seal with results?Heard of getting another 2 years before it goes again?Very small when we bought jeep couple years back and used Lucas and stoped it for quite some time but now it leave big pool overnight on shop floor and needs replacement.Give me your thoughts anyone and I know most replace the box give me an option there too if you like but would like to try seal?Rock auto does not list this seal? Thanks....

Yeah this may be my plan. The box is off and its leaking both ends kind of a mess. The seal kits from Napa are like $200!Yeah fawk!Heard through the grape vine that someone at APJ's does this thanks.....
The Durango box won't work on newer than 03 because of holes are in different mounting location so that sucks. Also XJ boxes work as well on older TJ's which I have lots here.Even the PSC box on here for sale I may have looked into but for older TJ.....

You have the skills , make the XJ box work Yeah may take a look at this today.Just curious about ratio would it be any different probably not?I know the Durango box is better as far as ratio thats part of the upgrade. Not fussy though as I'm only on 32's and maybe 33's max in future...

XJ box is alot longer from pitman shaft to steering arm shaft side. The front I would'nt care about but that side I aint fawkin with. Two bolt holes are the same distance which is cool I could easyly move other on frame but the length is an issue.....

It's easy to fit older TJ or Durango boxes to the newer frame. Just 1 hole has to be offset, cut around the bolt tube and the frame where the bolt will need to go, so you have an 0 shape. Do it on both sides of frame, pull the tube out, turn it so the tube goes where you cut the out frame and put it back in. Tube will now be in right spot and piece of frame will fill in old hole. Bolt up box to exactly locate tube, tack in place, then take box off and fully weld. Plasma does a nice job, but a torch would work. You will need a 2000-2002 hoses too.
