I've been wanting to get a 1-1.25" BL for my TJ, as my plan is to eventually do a TT on it. I have an MML for it, which will be going in the same time as the BL. Looking on Amazon, there's a Rugged Ridge 3" BL for under $90, and any 1-1.25" ones I've found are right around the $200 mark.
What I was wondering is, am I better off just getting the proper sized one (I know the answer is probably yes), or can I cut the pucks from the 3" one in half, and either buy new shorter bolts, or cut and thread the ones that come with it?

Are they solid spacers? Give 'er... cut away. As for the bolts, you'll likely need to buy new ones. The unthreaded shoulder portion of the bolt will be too thick to simply run a die over.
