who sells sold lug nuts (not the ones with the caps) anywhere and everywhere. I called a few places and they said they had a weird thread pitch or something

At the tire shack they tried hammering on a smaller socket and even those "easy-out" type of sockets too with the inpact. But all that did was round down the nut more. The guy there said that this problem is common with these type of lugs, especially when aluminum rims are involved. Somthing with the way the rims oxidize and the mix of stainless stell cap and a steel nut. Don't really know if that is correct or not but that's what he said. me and Scott will be in the shop tonight after 6. come by and i'll get it off with the impact. 830-4927 say your the lugnut guy, i don't know your name. Jan I'll take you up on that tonight if that is okay? I didn't get to check the post until this morning. Chris

yeah dude, call me when you can come by. i got a few things onm the go...see if i'm there. it won't take long. i'm just gonna bang a socket on there and hit it with the impact, if that don't work i'm not gonna spend any time on it. kinda busy, but i don't mind just hitting it with the compressor. ok?

I got it off! ;D I loosened the other 4 nuts, stuck in 4 wheel and backed up and down the driveway. Then heard a small "clunk". Thought I snapped the stud off (kinda what I was hoping to do at the time ). I didn't. But what it did do was free up the nut. So I whacked on a 16mm socket on the now beat up nut with a large maul. Snapped on a breaker bar and pulled it off with out too much trouble. So now I am all good and the brakes are all done. ;D Thanks for the offers and ideas everyone. Chris
