Suppose I should get going on my list.... Finish welding the holes on the ZJ, see what else it needs for safety, put a battery in the old girl and some street time to iron out the winter storage creeks! and....list is longer than my pocketbook is willing to tackle.... Sucky. Sent from my SGH-I747M using proboards

These are the bumper mounts I made for my sons KJ. I ran 3 beads of weld to attach the flange. This is a loose fitting on his jeep. The mounts aren't' actually crooked. They are just sitting loose. A cardboard mock up of what his bumper will look like

We picked up around 25 bags of Garbage yesterday as well as other items, TV, bits of steel etc. Weather was great and we had a good turnout. Was nice to meet two new potential members! Thanks to all who particpated and helped out!

I'm not a club member yet but I would like to help out if I can. I have a family get together that day but I don't know what time. If it is late enough then I will try to make it out. How long does it run and what would I need to bring if I can make it? James This counts as a club run if you are looking for membership. You ned to bring nothing at all. The meeting is at 10am and how long it lasts will depend on how many people show up and how much trash lol. Text me the day of and I'll let you know if we are still there. Just looking for numbers on who is coming out for this for the highway cleanup. PEI and NB have both been in the spotlight for cleanup lately. It would be nice to have a strong turnout for the NSJC. Last year we had a really great turnout and managed to collect over 40 bags of garbage and items. This year the social committee is putting on a BBQ after the event at Weir Feild, so attendance numbers would help greatly in planning on how much food to have on hand.
Thanks in advance for letting us know
Donnie

forums are toast! just gliding to the grave here. Shame..... I think of this place as my water cooler.... I am self employed and it is cool to see what is happening in the Jeep world around NS. I have learned a lot on here and found some odds and ends that I have needed and not really needed on the sales threads..... Hope we can put some life in the old girl. We don't let our Jeeps die without a fight. This is still the place to go for helpful advice imo Sent from my SGH-I747M using proboards

I recently bought a new battery ( not an optima) and it needed to be charged first. I asked couldn't we put it in and boost it and let the alternator charge it. Was told ideally no that it should be charged fully on a charger prior to use

I use wix on everything. Napa gold filters are just rebranded wix with a higher price tag. I can usually get wix filters at a good price if anyone is interested. I don't know what the dealer prices are but here is some wix prices... TJ 2.5L $9.50 TJ 4.0L $9.50 JK 3.8L $9.00 JK 3.6L $8.50 If a bunch of people ordered a bunch of filters together it would be cheaper by about $1 per filter The 3.6 has different filter in different years as well as price. My filter in the 2012 3.6 is different than the one in the 2015 that my wife has. Not sure which year that the change over happened Sent from my SGH-I747M using proboards
