True, but it will give him an idea of what he has. I suspect he doesn't have anything close to 4.56's unless the rig is modified.

Easiest way is to lift one tire, put the jeep in neutral, and spin the tire. Count how many times the tire spins for 1 reveloution of the driveshaft. Take this number and multiply by 2. You should get just over 2 revs for 4.10 gears, and 2 1/4 for 4.56's and less for other gear ratios.

Wouldn't 4.56's be aftermarket gears anyways? I thought 4.10's were the deepest gears made for a YJ (or any jeep for that matter) so I thought anyways.

Lol, any one with an older jeep has been there. Just when you think you are up and running, something else is shot. Don't give up though. Each piece replaced is another thing that won't break (for awhile)

Yea, that was the weirdest part. I pulled in (after missing it first) and thought I had been there before. I guess I was! lol

That seems high. I got my rad replaced with a TJ one, just a couple of months ago. Recore was $160ish, and a new one was $240ish. I asked for the recore, but the guy didn't get it done so he just sold me a new one for the price of a recore! ;D
This was at National Radiators in sackville. Another place to try is Renova in burnside, heard good things there. Don't be afraid to get a recore to save some cash. They are very nearly the same quality as a new one. Only the tanks are reused anyways.

You can buy them as a kit aftermarket. Either chrome or black. Either Ray or Andre can hook you up for around $20

yj tub

Unless your tub is completly shot, and beyond repair, I would look at fixing the one you have, just because you are going to have a hard job of finding one in reasonable shape. By the time someone parts out their YJ, the tub is done, and is usually one of the contributing problems that leads them to part it out.
Good luck though.
Also, depending on where yours is shot, you can get replacment panels that weld into the affected areas.
