Wow, it is just like a Vol. Fire dept. here. I think that my fellow CB'ers should sit back a bit and let the dust settle before we go any further. I for one have no interest in a club who back stabs its elected offials and the changes tunes half way through a rebuttle. Chapter?Area? Reps? Geeze guys can we still go in the woods? We have had a couple of runs so far and I for one have had a ball. Perhaps the hang ups of the few are over shadowing the love of the sport. Let's all try to meet this weekend to discuss how distant we want to be from issues that kinda don't involve us. Sunday evening? Robin's on Grand Lake Road 7pm?

I have noticed the bickering before. I just don't want to see people from CB that are avid JEEPers or those new to the sport to be turned off by these discussions.I'd love to see a NSJC chapter on the island; I have for years. However whenever money and power come together attitudes change. As far as I'm concerned I'd like to see any surplus money from the CB chapter going to a local charity. Christmas Daddies, food banks SPCA and the like. We are so new that these things will come in time. Things like a token fine for needing to be un-stuck etc would help. The SWAT has put such a positive shine on the (our) club. I'd like to continue it throughout the year as well with charity work. Even cleaning up of known dump areas etc. Again more upbeat exposure that would be good to have.

I'd sit tight too if I were you, I am.
I said I'd join when the club turned the corner on the new prez. thing and started to move forward, but it ain't over yet.
not like any of this is effecting me crawling around under my jeep, anyway.
btw, I saw the black Unlimited Rubi out front, very nice. I thought they were going to be really scarce?

oh yeah, the dump spot cleanups are an awesome idea. I have a "personal" trail close to my place I keep clean, when the dogwalkers snarl at me I tell them they'd be walking in garbage if not for my efforts. I exagerate a little, I'm just one guy, but I did haul a car outta there one time.
the junkyard guys up here are in extreme4x4 club, they send out a dumpster and take away burnt out cars. Also, they do iwk runs. All makes models welcome.
maybe some of the yard there might be interested

Johnniemac, I agree with you on SWAT. Duane deserves a lot of credit for getting that up and running. I don't think any of us realize the amount of hours & effort he has put forth.
Now about that Black Unlimited Rubi out front... hahaha, would I ever love to get my hands on that.

Work doesn't even want my hands on it.lol.I took my Grand to work completely covered in mud a few times. I was asked to clean it or park it elsewhere. hah. My wife and I went out wheeling one evening and she took the JEEP to work the next day. The strange looks she got! Muddy JEEPs and high heels didn't seem to mix at the doctor's office I guess!
